Scared dogs and Noodles

Person visited Two Border Collie Dogs.


The Two Dogs were PROTECTIVE.

The Two Dogs were SCARED.

Whenever Person Moved...the Two Dogs BARKED.

They LUNGED.

Then Border Collie Evie was Brave. Evie SNIFFED Person.

Person sat Very Very Still.

Then Evie ....... WOOFFED.

Person JUMPED.

Anyway, the next day Person visited a Lurcher. Her name is Noodles.

Noodles is Grey.

Grey Noodles?

I am a Lurcher. I am the colour of Straw.

Here is Noodles Bowing. She wants Tofu to Play.

Pickle doesn't Bow to get me to Play.

Pickle JUMPS on me.

Anyway, I need a Drink.

I have been chasing Pickle.

I want the Orange Ball.

Goodbye Marmite

Marmite was Brown.

Marmite was Soft.

Marmite was Lazy.

Marmite was Gentle.

Marmite was Friendly.

Marmite's Tail was always Waggy.

Vet Farah gave Marmite her first injection Six Years Ago.

Four days ago Vet Farah drained Fluid from Marmite's Tummy.

Marmite's Tummy was Full of Fluid because her Heart was Not Pumping Properly.

Then Marmite Stopped Eating. Then she Stopped Taking her Pills.

She just Lay Down.

Even Little Pickle was Quiet.

So today our Vet Farah came.

Marmite's Heart has Stopped Pumping now.

Anyway, Person went to see a Puppy yesterday called Porter.

Porter is a Very Big Puppy.

He is only 15 Weeks Old and he is already Bigger and Heavier than Little Pickle.

Porter is a Dogue de Bordeaux.

I am a Dogue do Bedfordshire.

Marmite was a Dogue de Bedfordshire too.

Busy

Person is Very Busy.

She has been to see Two Brackens this week!

This is Bracken who is a Red Labrador.

Red? He looks like a dark Pip colour to me.

Bracken is Exactly the Same Age as Little Pickle! Seven Months Old.

Bracken gets a bit too Rough and Excited with his She-Person.

My Person is teaching Bracken's Persons a few Tricks.

And this is Bracken the Japenes Akita.

(I am an English Pip).

Bracken is Fluffy. Bracken is White.

When Bracken was a puppy he was Shut Outside All Alone day and night.

They didn't want him any more. They gave him away.

Next Bracken was Shut in the Bathroom All Alone day and night.

He never saw Dogs. He never saw Children. Nobody Played with him.

They didn't want him any more either. They gave him away also.

Now Bracken has a New Home where they Love him and Care for him.

Now Bracken has Two Tabby Cats to keep him company during the day.


Now Bracken, slowly, gradually, is going to get used to being near Dogs and Children without being Scared and Fierce.

Anyway, Poor Marmite is on her Last Legs.

Poor Marmite's Heart is Not Pumping Properly.

She has a Fat Tummy full of Water.

I have a very Thin Tummy.

I am still on my FIRST Legs.

Poor Marmite's Heart nearly STOPPED Pumping two weeks ago.

Very soon Poor Marmite's Heart will STOP Pumping forever.

Little Pickle knows Marmite's Heart is Not Pumping Properly. He leaves Her Alone.

I wish that Little Pickle would leave ME alone.

I Love Marmite.

'The Time' had not come after all

No, this isn't Monty the Mont!

This is Jack. (Jack who opens doors).

Jack is a Calm Happy Dog at home.

Jack is not a Calm Happy Dog when out on Walks.

He Pulls and Pulls. He Goes Crazy when he sees Other Dogs.

The Dog Trainer said Jack was a Lost Cause.

But Person says in time Jack is not a Lost Cause at all.

Jack will become a Calm Happy Dog out on Walks, just like he is at home.

Because he Wants to. Not because he is Trained to.

And this is Toby.

Toby is scared of little Abi who has just started walking.

Here am I playing tug with Little Pickle and Milly.

Pickle runs very fast. He leaps right over furniture. He hides where I can't reach him.

You Can't Catch Me.

I BARK.

Person says Go Out and Do That Somewhere Else.

Anyway, Poor Marmite went to the Vet on Monday.

THE TIME had Come. Or so Persons thought.

But in the waiting room Marmite said Hello with a Staffie and a Golden Retriever.

In the Vet's room Marmite Wagged her Tail for the Vet.

So THE TIME had Not Come after all.

The Vet gave Marmite an injection. The Vet put pills down her throat.

THE TIME will Come another day.

Anyway, I think Little Pickle is a Lost Cause.

He is Somewhere Else for a while.

So THE TIME has Come for me to have a Rest.

Ears

This is Jack. Jack has Very Big Ears for a Little Dog.

Jack was Peeing on the carpet. Jack was Peeing in the kitchen at night. Jack was Peeing in his bed. Jack was Peeing up the cupboards.

Jack Peed a message on Persons' work bag.

Person put her work bag in the washing machine.

Person said she didn't want me, or Little Pickle, or Monty the Mont to start using her work bag as a message board.

Now Person has just heard! Jack hasn't Peed Indoors once since she saw him!

Little Pickle has STRAGGLY Spaniel Ears.

Marmite has FLOPPY Sleepy Labrador Ears. And so does Monty the Mont.

My Ears are FLOPPY.

But I am a Sight Hound. I am also a HEARING Hound.

I MISS NOTHING.

Milly has WIDE AWAKE Ears. Milly is ALERT.

Person went to see Cocoa last week. Cocoa has FLOPPY Labrador Ears like Marmite and Monty the Mont.

Cocoa's Labrador Ears are not SLEEPY Ears. Cocoa's Ears are WORRIED Ears.

Cocoa is Anxious.

Cocoa is Scared of Shiny Floors.

Now Cocoa is learning to be more CONFIDENT.

Then Person went to see Odie.

Odie has FLOPPY Labrador Ears also. Odie's Ears are BOUNCY Ears.

Odie's Ears FLOP Up FLOP Down FLOP Up FLOP Down as Odie JUMPS about.

Odie is now going to learn to BE CALM.

Odie is now learning to stop Jumping About.

Our Marmite is a Chocolate Labrador. Marmite is Lazy.

Poor Marmite has a Heart Condition.

And here is Hamish, with Brora.

Hamish is 6 and a half months old. Little Pickle is 6 and a half months old.

Hamish is a Border Collie.

Whenever a Person gets up or moves, Hamish runs about frantically searching the walls and ceiling for SHADOWS to CHASE.

Before Christmas Hamish had nearly stopped CHASING SHADOWS altogether.

Then... over Christmas.... lots of Persons came to his house.

It was Very Exciting for Hamish. It was Very Stressful for Hamish.

Then someone played the Chasing Reflections game with him.

So now Hamish is CHASING SHADOWS again.

(He should stop again soon because his Persons know what to do now).

Anyway, I am a MEERKAT.

Schnauzers and Spaniels

Here are Rosie and Rowly in their New Home!


Person came home smelling of SPANIEL again last week.

Max is a Cocker Spaniel. Max is much BIGGER than Little Pickle.

Just occasionally Max Gets CROSS.

Max' Persons and Max' Young Persons are learning to Understand Max.

Then Max won't need to Get CROSS any more.

And this is Molly.

Molly is Nine Months Old.

Molly is a WORRIED Dog.

Molly Runs Away from her He-Person.

He is Sad because he Loves Molly.

Molly's He-Person is learning to Understand Molly.

Yesterday Molly went and sat beside him. He stayed Very Still.

Anyway, Pickle is not a Worried Dog.

.....HE SHOULD BE.

I sometimes GET CROSS with Little Pickle.

I am sometimes a WORRIED Dog.

I am WORRIED by Little Pickle. Monty the Mont is WORRIED by Little Pickle.

Here he comes again...

He JUMPS all over us. He JUMPS at our faces.

Person should learn to Understood ME. She would then learn I like Meaty Bones.

Anyway, here is Funny Bella in the SNOW.

More Puppies

This week Person went to help TWO Puppies.

TWO!

This is Conker.

Conker is Sixteen Weeks Old.

Conker is a Labradoodle and Conker is SCARED.

Conker is Scared of PERSONS. Conker is Scared of SUDDEN.

And this is Bella.

Bella is Five Months Old.

Bella is a mix of Beardie and German Shepherd, and Bella is Scared of....

NOTHING.

And this is Little Pickle.

Little Pickle Wrecks Tennis Balls.

Little Pickle is sometimes Scared of ME when I am Very Cross with him.

He lies on his back. Wriggles. Waggy Waggy Tail. Whimpers.

But still Little Pickle Doesn't Learn.

Little Pickle Doesn't Know when ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

ONE Puppy is Quite Enough for ME. ONE Puppy is Quite Enough for Milly, And for Monty the Mont. And One Puppy is Quite Enough for Poor Marmite.

Anyway, Plumber Person came Last Week.

We watched him Drain the System.
